The
Executive Chairman of Google, Eric Schmidt, today January 21, 2013 paid a
visit to veteran Nigerian filmmaker, Tunde Kelani, at his office in Oshodi,
Lagos. The Google executive arrived Tunde Kelani’s office, Mainframe Studios,
in the company of several members of staff from Google and YouTube in Nigeria.
During
the visit, which lasted for more than an hour, the two men deliberated on
various challenges facing the creative industry in Nigeria. Some of the issues
they discussed include piracy, finance, and distribution. The Executive
Chairman of Google, among other suggestions, encouraged content developers in
the country to embrace the iTunes platform.
