It was recently revealed that Kanye's popularity dropped after he got together with reality star, Kim Kardashian. There are reports now that Kanye is refusing to appear on the new season of Kim's reality show, ‘Keep Up With The Kardashian’ after his management told him appearing on the show regularly is bad for his image and cheapens his brand. He might make a few appearances, but that will be it.

Jealous man stabs younger brother to death while he was sleeping

Policemen attached to Ilemba Hausa division have arrested a 30-year-old man who allegedly stabbed his brother, a Merchant Navy to death while he was asleep.

The incident, occurred at the early hours of Wednesday morning February 21 at Oritse Street in Imude community, under Oto-Awori local development council area of Lagos.

After allegedly committing the devilish deed, the suspect, Allen Biodun, 30 (pictured right), reportedly dragged the remains of his brother, Allen Olawale Ayetimi, 24 (pictured left), to an uncompleted building behind their compound and dumped it inside the foundation of the building, covered it with leaves.

Thereafter he quietly went to his room and took his late brother’s ATM card, his Merchant navy uniform and phone.

Ghanaian footballer John Paintsil arrested for stabbing his wife in the eye

31-Year-Old Black Stars of Ghana defender John Paintsil has been arrested for stabbing his wife in the eye.

According to Greater Accra Police, Paintsil stabbed his wife after a quarrel over money. The wife, Richlove Paintsil, jumped the wall of their home into their neighbors home to escape the assault. John allegedly followed her into the neighbours house and assaulted the people who tried to stop him from hitting his wife.

Paintsil was later picked up by the police after neighbours called them .He is being held for assault and causing harm.

Paintsil was part of the Ghana Black Stars team that came fourth in the just concluded AFCON 2013.

A part-time Business Administration Student of Lagos State Polytechnic, Miss Olayinde Bournes, 22,  (pictured above) has allegedly been beaten to death by her boyfriend, Abuchi Cyril.

The incident happened yesterday Thursday February 21 at Shorinmade Street, Aguda-Ogba area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.

According to Miss Titilayo Fagbamila, friend of the deceased girl, she always complained to her that her boyfriend, Abuchi always beat her at the slightest provocation.

Jonathan Commends Lagos Government at Eko Atlantic City Opening

President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday commended the Lagos State government and her partners for the successful completion of the Eko Atlanti City project.

The president made this commendation at the opening of the Eko Atlantic City, which was witnessed by former U.S. President Bill Clinton in Lagos.

President Jonathan announced that the Federal Government will soon launch a new mortgage promotion agency which will ensure that all Nigerians have access to proper housing.

Former Nigeria defender, Taribo West, slammed West Brom forward, Osaze Odemwingie, for his comments on the state of the country’s ex-internationals, saying the player should focus on his career rather than using social network site, Twitter, to ‘abuse’ his elders.

Osaze twitted that football administrators had failed to “treat former internationals right” citing late striker Rashidi Yekini, Femi Opabunmi and Taribo as examples.

“Yekini, (may his soul RIP) our legend died in poverty…Femi Opabunmi lost his sight and struggling to feed now…T. West I heard not so comfortable and few others,” Osaze twitted.

Man Escapes Mobbing for Buying Human Hair from Barbing Salon

60-year-old man, Adewale Okunade, a landlord of a house on Segun Olatunji Street, Ijoko, Ota, Ogun State, narrowly escaped being lynched on Thursday when some people in the neighbourhood pounced on him.

They alleged that he was buying human hair from babers salon and would take them to a herbalist in Cotonou, Republic of Benin, who uses it to prepare charms for him.

Mom arrested for hiring strippers for 16-year-old son's birthday party

 

For hiring strippers for her son's 16th birthday, a New York mum has been arrested and faces up to one year in prison if convicted.

33 year old Judy Viger hired two strippers (seen above with her son) to perform at her son's birthday, where there were plenty under age children. The mother of one of the party goers who found it inappropriate reported Judy to the police who arrested and charged her with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. They said she endangered not only the welfare of her own child, but the welfare of the 14 and 15 year old children that were at the party. She will appear in court March 7th.

Cameroon, Nigeria Officials Deny French Hostages Freed

Reports that seven French hostages kidnapped in Cameroon were found alive and safe in a house in northern Nigeria on Thursday are false, a Nigerian military spokesman said.

“It’s not true,” said Sagir Musa, spokesman for the military Joint Task Force in Borno state, where the hostages were reported to have been released.

The fate of seven French tourists seized in Cameroon by suspected Nigerian Islamist militants was unclear on Thursday after government officials denied French media reports that they had been freed.

Disturbing new images have emerged of the dead body of the 12-year-old son of a Tamil leader that researchers say could prove he was executed by Sri Lankan government forces.

The photographs of Balachandran Prabhakaran, son of Velupillai Prabhakaran, head of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, were taken in May 2009 at the end of the government's conflict with the rebels.

The first pictures appear to show the child in the custody of Sri Lankan forces and he is seen sitting on a bench wrapped in a blanket and eating some food.

Apparently hip-hop rap star, Jay Z was not pleased with early advances made towards his daughter, Blue Ivy Carter by Egypt, son of Alicia Keys.

Grammy Award winning musician, Alicia Keys, speaking in an interview on the Wendy Williams show disclosed that Jay Z raised an objection when her two-year-old son kissed Blue Ivy Carter.

According to her, she was hanging out with the hip-hop rap star when her son kissed Jay Z and Beyonce’s daughter, who turned one year on January 7.

Alicia recounted that, “I think actually Egypt kissed Blue and I don’t think Jay liked it very much.”

“He called my husband and was like watch your son,” she added.

Egypt, interestingly, does not only have a thing for Blue Ivy. According to his mum, he is already a big fan of basketball and just like her mum; he loves the piano and is showing signs of playing it.

There will be heavy traffic in Lagos today, especially around V/I as more than a few dignitaries are coming for the opening of the Eko Atlantic City Phase 1 inauguration. President Goodluck, Governor Fashola and even Bill Clinton among other "dignitaries" will be in attendance. It will begin at 10 a.m. so the Ikeja area may be affected as well (they should be coming in from the airport).  For those residing in Lagos State, just to inform you so you wouldn't be surprise when you are been trap in the traffic.

I must commend beautiful structure. Wish they would have more of something like this in different States not only in Lagos.

Meanwhile Boxes of 'steroids, testosterone' and needles were found at the Blade Runner's home where he shot girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp dead after 'non-stop' arguing, a court heard today.

The details were revealed by the prosecution on the second day of the 26-year-old athlete's bail hearing at Pretoria Magistrates' Court where he faces a charge of premeditated murder.

Pistorius looked distraught and sobbed with his head lowered as the packed court heard the post-mortem showed three entrance wounds - the bullets hit the right side of Miss Steenkamp's head, her right elbow - which resulted in a broken arm - and her hip.

The thought of the incident that led to the brutal killing of at least seven family members gave the young lady of 24, a frightful look.

Goldie's autopsy report out. Reveals she died of Hypertension

Report following the autopsy carried out after her  sudden death  at the Lagos State  University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos  revealed that the Kennis Music star, suffered a terminal ‘hypertensive heart disease’ which resulted to’ intracerebellar haemorrhage.’  The autopsy carried out February 19, was signed by Dr. O.O Oyewole of the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine. Her burial arrangement will be announced by the family.

Goldie died on Valentine’s Day shortly after she returned from Los Angeles, United States where she attended the 55th Grammy Awards.
