Just like what I see in movies, though I don’t really know how sure the story is. This was gotten from a Nigerian reader.

According to her, “the beast was killed today at Madonna University, Elele. They killed a small one and the bigger one came for revenge. We heard more will be coming. Everybody is terrified in the school.”

Wow! I just don’t know what to say as I’m really flabbergasted as well. 

Crooner Andy Williams of 'Moon River' fame, dies

American crooner Andy Williams, whose string of hits like "Moon River" and annual Christmas TV shows made him a national treasure, has died aged 84 after losing his battle with cancer.

Legendary singer Andy Williams passed away last night (Tuesday) at home in Branson, Missouri following a yearlong battle with bladder cancer, it was announced by his family," his publicist said.

Williams is survived by wife Debbie and three children Robert, Noelle and Christian, all from his first wife, French-born dancer Claudine Longet.

Wizkid and his long-time manager, Osagie Osarenkhoe of M.et.al management have parted ways after five years of their management relationship. 

According to an inside source, they both ended their relationship in June but tried to keep it away from the press. Osarenkhoe still has a working relationship with other EME acts such as Skales, Shaydee and Niyola.

Essien on Marriage to Akosua Puni

Michael Essien, the Ghana International who plays for Real Madrid, has denied widespread media reports that he would be getting married to celebrity publicist Akosua Puni and that the lady was already carrying his baby.

Reports spread fast through online media Monday that Essien was to have married Akosua at a secret location in London but had to postpone the ceremony because of the rescheduled match between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano. But the footballer’s representatives have vehemently denied the report, describing it as an absolute untruth.

A Real Madrid twitter who has some credibility was said to have tweeted that Essien was getting married but the eleventh hour rescheduling of the match had made him to postpone the wedding.

But Essen’s representatives insisted the footballer was not getting married anytime soon. “We represent Michael Essien and the story you have tweeted that he is getting married today is completely untrue,” Sport PR Company in London tweeted back to @RMadridinfo.“No wedding ever scheduled for today or any other day,” Caroline MCAteer, the head of Sports PR Company, added.

The Grand Forks, North Dakota teenager’s fatal overdose has been blamed on a drug called 2C-I. The night before Stai’s overdose, another area teen, Christian Bjerk, 18, was found face down on a sidewalk. His death was also linked to the drug.

2C-I–known by its eerie street name “Smiles”–has become a serious problem in the Grand Forks area, according to local police. Overdoses of the drug have also be reported in Indiana and Minnesota. But if the internet is any indication, Smiles is surfacing in many parts of the country.

Arik Air Blacklists FAAN MD, 26 Others from its Flight

Arik Air Tuesday released a list of persons banned permanently from taking any of its operated flights to any destination.

Top on the list was the Managing Director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Mr George Uriesi. The reasons given for the ban range from fighting Arik staff, disrupting Arik flight operations, to being declared wanted by security agencies.

The third season of Nigerian Idol is at the verge of kicking off and I heard one of the judges from last season, Charly Boy, might not be returning as a judge advocate. New Method of Treating Cancer Discovered in Nigeria

The President of the African University of Science and Technology (AUST ), Abuja, Professor Wole Soboyejo, has disclosed that research in new methods for the treatment of cancer has reached an advanced stage, compared to the treatment of the disease through chemotherapy.

Soboyejo unveiled this yesterday at the opening ceremony of a five-day workshop on Nanomedicine and Bio-Micro-Electrical Systems (BIOMEMS) organised by the Federal University of Technology, Minna in collaboration with AUST.

The new method of treatment would give room for early detection.

JTF Raids Bomb Factory, Arrest 156 Suspects

Adamawa - Mubi. The Joint Task Force, JTF Sunday night raided the main hide out of the suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Mubi the commercial nerve centre of Adamawa State where 156 suspected members of the dreaded group were arrested.

Addressing newsmen shortly after inspecting the compound where the raid took place, Commander of the 23rd Armored Brigade, Nigerian Army Yola, Brigadier General John Nwaoga hinted the operation was sequel to the recent clandestine activities and destruction of GSM masts in Mubi by the suspected terrorists.
