Five children from same parents were among 15 souls
that perished in two separate accidents in Kumbotso and Takai councils of Kano
state, weekend.
The minors who were said to be siblings of Magaji
Tambaya, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Kano State University were burnt beyond
recognition during the mid-night fire at their Wreca residence in Panshekara,
outskirt of Kano municipality.
Officials of Kano State Fire Service told
Journalists in Kano that “the fire incident in the official residence was
reported around 1.50am Saturday”
The Head of Operations, Kano state Fire service,
Kashim Musa Bichi said cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately,
adding that ” it took my men hectic time to put off the fire.”
This is so sad... May their souls rest in peace.
