Lagos Man Urinated Inside a Pot of Soup After a Woman Refused to Sell Him Food


38-year old Gatankowa market trader Taofeeq Shobulo has been arrested and sentenced with 6 months of imprisonment for urinating in a pot of soup on January 17, 2012.

The suspect pleaded guilty to the charge against him and he was sentenced by an Senior Magistrate Court in Ojokoro on Tuesday, January 23rd.

According to his prosecutor, Lugard Ahonle, the convict asked a food vendor named Olayiwola Olayemisi to sell food to him but the latter refused because it was Shobulo’s habit to ask for food and leave without paying.

While the vendor was not paying attention to the pot of soup that she was selling that time, the convict urinated in it. Continue after the cut,..

According to Ahonle, Shobulo violated Sections 136 and 411 of the Lagos State Criminal Code Laws.

Magistrate K.O. Ogundare sentenced Shobulo with 6 months of imprisonment.

“Having found you Taofeeq Shobulo, guilty, you are hereby sentenced to six-months imprisonment which will be served concurrently,” Ogundare said.
